Look Who’s Talking Too

So after just over a year I have found a bit of spark to revisit these old stomping grounds. It is so strange, on one hand I missed it greatly but on the other hand I totally forgot I even had this. I think what i really found myself missing were the wonderful amazing people (you) who read, replied, and cared so much. I think guilt played a huge part in my reluctance to come back. So much because there are many of you that reached out, seeking any kind of sign I was ok (quite the sleuths you were too!)

I am ok. Of course. I’d love to blame it on the pandemic, politics, procrastination, but quite simply I had no desire. And I was really afraid that if I’d pushed myself I would have just deleted everything and fell off into the abyss. Which isn’t that difficult to do actually. So I hope you will forgive me, and if you can’t, I won’t blame you but I swear I will do what I can to get caught up and catch up with so many of you. I’m sure that a few of you have just blown up into these megastar bloggers, your content was already that good.

I am not sure what my plan is. I’ll start slow so as not to put that pressure back on me and hopefully I’ll have things worth saying/reading. For now, I wanted to introduce you to the newest member of the family. His name is Gryffin and he turns 1 on Christmas Day. He is a Golden Shepherd mix although I think there’s part miniature pony somewhere. He hasn’t stopped growing. Kind of makes Anastasia look like a lap dog. He has been a wonderful addition for Stasia since the loss of Gracie. And the timing couldn’t have been better in terms of training. More to come on him soon!!

    1. Thank you! Can’t tell you how much I missed hearing from you! Didn’t really realize until I did! It’s crazy where paths lead you. But they all seem to have a sense of direction even though you have no clue. I am sure I will be writing about it. Guess I just needed new material and fresh perspectives. The puppies definitely bring much joy (and frustration at times) and are definitely worth the love.

    1. Hey there. So glad that you took the time to reply. I’m back. Just hope I have relevant things to say. Of course, without the pressure of a 365 I think it should be much better. I’m looking forward to catching up on your escapades over the past year! Any new fun challenges I need to be aware of?

  1. Jason, How lovely to see you back here.
Just like Laura, I too was thinking about you, I’ve done a lot of that since you left our screens around Black Friday last year.

I love the photos of the new dog.

Hope the family are safe and well. 🙂

    1. There she is! Hi Sue. Boy have I missed you. Thank you so much for not giving up on me. I am so sorry to have concerned you like that. It is really amazing how fast time gets away from you. It’s so hard to believe I haven’t posted in a year let alone even checked in. Sad thing is I probably avoided it the same reason why I got rid of Facebook. I just can’t stand reading about any politics. It depressed me so much. And you just can’t seem to get away from it. I did manage to keep up an Instagram page for the dogs but even there I saw a couple of political posts.
Family are doing well. I’ve got a couple of posts that I’m going to share that talk about it. But it definitely is an empty nest here.
Hope all is well with you and yours and that all are safe and healthy as well!

      1. Jason, how lovely to talk to you.
Perhaps as well you missed a couple of my posts, but probably not so much politics as Covid. Anyway, I am so relieved that you are okay.

Are the kids coming back for Christmas?
All is well here, thank you.
Take care Jason and I look forward to your next post. 🙂

        1. Not sure why, but the last two comments from you went to Spam, including this one. Nope, kids are staying put. First time in 26 years that there won’t be anyone here for Christmas. Not sure how I am going to handle that. Very surreal.

    1. Hi! Thank you so much. It’s so good to hear from you so soon! And I am so glad to see you still at your 365’s. The dogs have been great. Stasia has definitely calmed the older she’s gotten and is just a wonderful companion. Gryffin is a handful but he is such a sweet boy. Big but sweet!!

  2. Wow. Wow! And, WOW! I was just thinking of you the other day and hoping all was well, wherever you were. I’m so glad just to see a sign and relieved to know you are well. I know Angel will be so glad too and hopefully she will see this as she’s taken a far step back as well. 😪 For a while, it felt as though we were losing dear friends …but from time to time, there are moments that friendship is uneffected by either space nor time. We just celebrate them more when we see each other again.

    1. I can’t tell you how hard it was not to reach out to you. I just struggled getting on WP and I had no other means of contacting you. I can pretty much guarantee that I would message you had I had that info but then you ask yourself is that crossing any line? I’m pretty sure a pep talk would have renewed the energy but things happen the way they do for a reason. But know that your response made me so happy and to have you respond so quickly reaffirmed my decision. It’s nice to be back. And it’s even nicer to know that I didn’t lose you!! ❤️

      1. Omgosh, never! I am so glad and oh so relieved. It made my day to see you again!
Crossing the line? Haha As long as my hubs doesn’t think you’re trying to steal his wife, I hardly think he would care. We both have many FB friends and old school mates that are both male & female and have befriended each others as well. You are completely welcome to friend me on FB so we can keep in touch. Plus, if you find you’re discovering new vigor for your blog, you can promote it on FB too.

        1. Sadly I completely deleted Facebook like 3 years ago. I just can’t. Life has been so much happier without it. I am on Instagram but not as me. I created a site for anastasia but have since added Gryffin. It prob is the only sm account I do. I don’t think Clay has anything to worry about (I mean I am charming and creative but that only gets you so far as you get older 😂🤣😭) besides he is the totally awesome man for you. Not to mention the wife on this end would slowly dissect the last remaining ball I own so…. yeah🥴.
