Annual Rings

I took a few shots around this evening, but this one I think was my favorite.  And although it wasn’t the subject I set out to do, I think it came out a lot better than the others.  This is a house/barn that has seen a few renovations, and while the older structure has seen better days, I think the new section really complements.  I love the symmetry of this shot, how it almost dominoes down, and the colors are very rich and contrasting.  For an evening that had very little light source, thanks to some storm clouds, it really pops.  May 13, 2012
