Cap It Off

Day 320 – November 16, 2018

Went to sleep last night with 9 inches of snow on the ground and freezing rain falling.  With all of those factors I was certain that they would not be able to get roads cleared in time for school.  Nor did I fathom that they would clear school property and city sidewalks in time.  Well after a 2 hour delay, I found myself skipping the snooze button, having shoveled some heavy ass snow, off the driveway in order to get out, on my way to school. I didn’t mind, really, the scenery was amazing. It was nice to get out after feeling like I was sequestered yesterday. The snow and ice had yet to melt off the mountain tops, so the glisten of the reflection filled the sky with diamond like sparkles. The trees, from a distance, sculpted like little bonsai. As I got closer to the city, the snow was melting very fast leaving long trails of water flowing on the roads. Don’t let the clouds fool you.  It was rather sunny and a bit milder today.  It wasn’t a bad day at all made better by an abbreviated school schedule.  Hope your Saturday serves you well!

    1. No, please do! I know the feeling. Especially when I’m complaining about rain when there are those who would do anything for it. I absolutely love photos of beaches, and sunny blue skies. Makes me happy!

          1. Its crazy because we get so much more snow and our roads are much more windey and hilly, yet the schools down in the city will be closed while the school up here are open. They are really good about clearing up here probably because the ski resort needs to stay open.

    1. Well shit. I didn’t post the right one. I’ll either add it or put it in today’s. Sorry. Well I guess I don’t need to stop. You can’t tell me that at midnight my time. 😎😏💕

  1. We have our share of the white fluff too. I decided not to go out today. At the first snowfall of the season, everyone is awkward on the road. Have a good weekend.
