Day 266 – September 23, 2018

Autumn – #SundayStills / Shake – One Word Photo Challenge / Hidden – One Word Sunday#MySundayPhoto / Day 23 – #SeptemberSquares(not this one beckyb 😕) / Obsequious – WODC / Bottle – FOWC / Panoply – RDP / Mask – citysonnet DWP

And this is how autumn starts this year.  A pretty solid reflection of the year so far. We just can’t seem to shake the rain. Don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining. The rain has a different feel in the fall.  There is a pink hue  to the sky, the air is more crisp and the windows open as the a/c is shut down.  What’s more, with the way things have been going weather wise, we should be in for one heck of a fall color (tree leaf) season. Of course, with any excess of rain, there are still some inconveniences.  The driver of this SUV realized, perhaps a tad too late, that they should have been a little more obsequious to the warning signs they drove past.  It is possible that the corn masked the flood, hidden just just over the ridge, enough to make it appear like it was safe. Upon closer inspection, knowing the SUV does not have a panoply of a watercraft, the sensible decision was made and the cars reverse lights popped on. As for me, I’m at home, wrapped up in a fleece blanket, a bottle of cider at my side, with football on the tv.  A great way to start autumn and end the weekend! Hope you have a great week!
