Frederick is home to a bustling arts and entertainment district.  And like many towns across the globe, the city is enhanced by a variety of architecture design elements and a number of art galleries, street artists, and murals that set the cities “vibe”. It is really no wonder that on any given day you will find the streets busy with a zest for life. What is there not to love about a town like that?  The photo’s above, if you have not figured it out already, are murals that have been there for as long as I can remember.  The old man is very life like in detail, yet when you see the wings, the tone of the mural changes. They both have seen touchups, and both restored within the last few years. I cannot tell you the number of times that I have seen abiding people stop, and stare back at the angel, before the perspective becomes clear after changing their point of view. You can see their  realization of what it is and then laugh at how silly they must have looked staring at the windows.  I am not even going to tell you that I still take a double look every now and then.   Just add it to the list of the number of things people from all over, love about our town.
