Eyes Wide Shut

Looking Forward

I subscribe to a news letter called Digital Photography School and todays email listed 25 Dreamy Images Shot Wide Open. I looked at the photos and quickly felt like I needed to try it, today. So I threw on my 50mm lens, grabbed Audrey and set my location based on some of the suggestions the post listed.  In the same issue, there was an article about sample poses for female subjects. So I tried out a couple of the samples, and Audrey was a real trooper.  The results? Well you tell me.  Personally, I love it.  And while there were many more to choose from, there is something so peaceful about this composition.  Maybe its how I caught her eyes closed,  or maybe its how the evening suns fading light bounces off of her face.  Or maybe its how the trees almost create a net effect above her.  I don’t know, but I am real happy with this one and think I will be using this technique much more in the future.  April 12, 2012
