Dirty Work

Day 279 – October 6, 2019

Lines – Sunday Stills / Dilapidated – One Word Sunday / Court – FOWC / Impossible – RDP / Frisson – WODC / Day 6 – October Lined Squares

Many of the open lots around me are pretty dilapidated. Shrouded in weeds, thistle, rocks and uninviting terrain.  Amidst the tangled landscape, the dominant lines of a mechanical claw rests, ready for the attack. Yet what would look to be an impossible task, somehow finds a new house on a freshly paved trail, road or court, in a short amount of time.  I suppose there is a brief frisson of excitement when I see the start of the clearing, especially when it’s near me, as I can track it’s progress.  I find the construction of new homes rather fascinating.  When there is pretty much nothing else up here for entertainment, you play with the cards your dealt! 😛

  1. I just read your post from March 4 of this year. I wondered about Proscenium but was too lazy to search for it I guess. We have a theater in our town started 80+ years ago with a chance to barter food or livestock for admission. We usually attend 6-8 plays each year. Some famous actors and actresses that started here are. Patricia Neal, Ned Beatty, Gregory Peck, Larry Linville, Ernest Borgnine, Wayne Knight and others. If interested you can look at the website barter theater. Com it’s in Abingdon Virginia
