Spirits In The Material World

Day 235 – August 23, 2019

Tourism – Friendly Friday Photo / Made from Wood – Cee’s B&W / Pull Up A Seat / Dirt – FOWC / Insipid – RDP / Jock – WODC

How could I have the subject of tourism and not feature my local tourist trap, er I mean attraction.  I do have to say though, it is quite an unusual town.  Based off my few years of running a business in Gettysburg, I can say it is a bit “off” if you will.  For starters, once the sun goes down, the town, literally becomes a ghost town.  Not that there isn’t any activity at night, sure there is the ghost walks and the scattered pubs, but the curious thing is that even though tourism is constant, you could never tell at night.  And after 10? Forget about it.  It is really interesting.  And people don’t really invest in night time activities, heavens know I tried to capture that market, I guess they just prefer to go back to their hotel room, camp site, guest house, Netflix and chill.

    1. Absolutely not! In fact at this time of there year Nighttime is the ideal time as it finally cools down enough to where it isn’t stifling. Although the last 2 days have been very fall like!
