Day 226 – August 14, 2019

In a rather fortuitous sequence of events, I found myself back at the golf course to play another few rounds with my daughter after she got off work.  While I would like to think I was invited for my well-being (in that she saw how much I enjoyed it yesterday), I have to think that it was more because I think she really liked playing.  This course has some of the most visually stunning holes I have played.  Like this short par 3.  The hole is carved into the mountain and you can see the layers of slate that climb the back wall. It looks like it belongs in a state park.  Having that nice high wall behind the hole may help those who hit past the hole, but don’t feel too comfortable, because should that happen you will find yourself digging out of a wicked sandtrap.

      1. My girls did the same Moving to America, Spain, Bulgaria and London. We didn’t like it either. A few years on and each of them moved back. Now they have families and live in all directions but all within a ten minute drive from me. 🙂
