Hit Me With Your Best Shot

Trees – Cee’s Fun Foto / Lock – Tuesday Photo / Authority – FOWC / Spacious – RDP / Lady – WODC

Went golfing with the daughter today.  While she has been home this summer she has been working at one of the nicest (more difficult) courses in the area.  It was her first time ever, playing.  And I have to say I was impressed at the same time proud of/by her.  She tends to get tired of things pretty quick.  When she is doing something that she struggles with or feels she isn’t very good at, it ends pretty abruptly. So I was not expecting a long outing at all.  But, contrary to all thoughts, not only did she want to play the full 18, she was pretty darn good at it.  Now I am no authority on skill and technique, but the few things I could share with her, she comprehended and was able to adjust. One of the most important things I reminded her on was to keep her head down, lock in on the ball and watch it hit off the club.  She knew exactly when she did it.  This was one of the more spacious fairways on the course, most of them were surrounded by water or sand, again not the best choice of a first time course.  Even when we first teed off she didn’t want to hit from the Ladies tee. But after seeing the difference, she was more than happy to from then on out.  What was even more impressive is that she lost only a couple of balls to trees or water.  I have no room to talk. I think I lost the same amount.
