Not quite sure what I caught today. I am guessing it’s a moth of some type. All I know is that when I saw it, I was a little shaken by the size of it. It is hard to believe that the opulent, marvel like wings came from a grub. That is if I am assuming that it is indeed a moth. I also find it rather humorous that I actually was captivated by a pesty insect. Still, how can you not look at that white band where the eyes are and just be amazed at how perfect it looks.

I love bugs (except black widows and cockroaches) and moths seem to be gentle critters. What a unique one you have here and it seemed patient to get its photo taken!

We have black widows here. I actually had a family of them on the side of the house living in the siding. Needless to say they weren’t there long after I found them. Just surprised to find them here. This guy stuck around awhile. I think he was photogenic or something.

I reckon a Hawk Moth of some sort but I don’t know the moths from over there………except Kevin, I know him fairly well 😀 😀 😀
