Day 164 – June 13, 2019
Living up in the mountains is downright as rural as you can get. It is pretty obvious as well, when you get close to the city. You don’t have to see the taller buildings, the smokestacks, the people. One simply can look in front of them. It’s a safe bet that when you come across construction, road or building, traffic thickening and the stoplights growing in number, you are getting very near the urban life. Although I absolutely love where I live, I feel equally as safe and at home in the city. I don’t miss doing homework to figure where to go every time I wanted to grab a bite to eat. There are not that many choices at all up here. I don’t have to worry about preening myself before I go out because I am not going to run into anyone I know. It’s ideal as they both have advantages and disadvantages. And because I work in the city, I actually enjoy having the best of both worlds. It’s like night and day.
