Day 75 – March 16, 2019
History – Lens-Artists / 6 Word Saturday / Wings – Weekly Prompt Photo / Week 11 – Pull Up a Seat / Order – FOWC / Illustrious – WODC / Day 16 – Spiky Monthly Squares
Took a drive through Gettysburg today. A run to the store to grab some jeans was in order. It seems that my last two pairs both appeared to be coming apart at the seams. Fortunately for me I noticed before anyone else. Unfortunately, I was at work when I noticed. After some clever use of the illustrious duct tape, I managed to thwart off any would be gawkers. In any case, thanks to a 40% discount throughout the store, my mission was a success. I am glad I did to. It’s been awhile since I drove through town, and how lucky I am that today’s lens-artist was history. Nothing says history quite like Gettysburg. Well, except Old Navy at the Outlets at Gettysburg.
Quite an amazing history location indeed!

Yes. I figured if Gettysburg wouldn’t answer the challenge, what the heck would?

Your post made me think of “Ashokan Farewell.”

I don’t know that. Well I didn’t think I knew it. Or I never knew what that was called. Ive heard it before on TV but listening to it now sounds so much better! It’s a perfect song to play next time I go through the battlefield!

For some reason that song rips my heart.

I’ve lived here 19 years and still learn things every time I go. Of course, I never do the guided tours I really only do self guided so I don’t get all that one on one info. I just do a little research when I see something. (Saves so much $$)
