Day 47 (412) – February 16, 2019
Nature – Lens-Artists / 6 Word Saturday / Up – Weekly Prompt Photo / Paradise – FOWC / Lost – RDP / Worth – WODC
There are a number of hidden homesteads in the area. Homes that, for one reason or another, were left to be swallowed up by nature. This one is situated at the top of a mountain and is completely hidden once the spring warmth allows trees, weeds, and ivy to bloom. Kind of like a paradise lost, for what its worth. It really is kind of an interesting cycle. One that allows you to see some history only in the dead of winter. This structure hasn’t completely been consumed and the footprint is still somewhat clear. Even through the naked limbs and branches there are clues as to what the layout may have been. It’s enough to pique my curiosity and see what I can dig up on the internet. Like I need any more reasons to spend time online.
Wow.. Gorgeous shot!💯

The look what I found link doesn’t seem to be a link?
Looks like another set from season one of True Detective. I love finding hidden treasures like that.

I wonder if it is a disused utility building of some description. It has that air about it. Good one for the challenge and besides, I love a mystery. 🙂

The shape of the roofline is very unique. The front opening definitely has a different shape. I am almost thinking church.

Wow – it does make one wonder- and keep us posted if you find any back story – and nice post for nature – and I can imagine this in bloom from the way you wrote about it

I will! I typically do my research before I post, but I ran late tonight!

Well there is only so much time in a day right – and it was perfect the way you let us ponder it with you – added to the interest and mystique
