Day 38 (403) – February 7, 2019
Depth of Field – A Photo A Week / Which Way Photo / Kammie’s Oddball / Construct – FOWC / Manufacture – RDP / Revelation – WODC
I saw today’s prompts, well one prompt specifically, and had a revelation. I actually wanted to do a small study on the use of depth of field for Jenn’s challenge. Rather than manufacture a post out of a couple of different prompts, or accidentally stumbling upon a photo I took that addressed it, I wanted to really work with it. So I headed downtown and started working the lens. I came up to this outdoor patio of a local restaurant and, at first, shot the lights because they looked cool. I had no intention originally, to construct my post today from it, but I took focus on that little gold star in the background and knew I had what I was wanting. My original intent was to just stick with that one, but when I reviewed the shots at home, I really had to include that second set as well. I would say today was a good education day. Now it’s time to wait for the grade 😬.

Thanks! They came out so much better than I thought. I thought I really liked the top one but I think the bottom study is a better set.

Thank you! I had a hard time deciding. The top two are so much more busy while the bottom 2 are more simple and direct. I never use to look at photos like this! 🥴
