Fly By Night

Day 3 (368) – January 3, 2019

On the Horizon – A Photo a Week / Which Way Photo / Madness – FOWC / Ignite – WODC

I took the oldest to the airport tonight, as his break ended and work beckons back in Florida.  Tomorrow morning my daughter flies back to Dallas, and I could very well be in the same location in less than 12 hours.  If that happens, I face a very long day in school tomorrow as I fight the effects of sleep deprivation, exhaustion and being mentally drained. I tend to become near hysterics in those situations, so it could be very amusing to those around!  I do really enjoy the airport.  Even if I am not flying, it ignites some creativity as I enjoy looking at the flight boards and deciding where I can go if I had the means.  I wasn’t able to go into the terminal this evening, but it didn’t keep me from enjoying the fantasy.  I have said it many times in the past, I really need to travel, overseas specifically, at some point.  I have been everywhere in the states, but I have only experienced all the other places through pictures, books and tv/movies. Heck, my middle son went to Spain last summer, I haven’t ever been to Spain.  Seriously, wth? It just provides me some motivation to try and start saving/planning.  But for now, at least I always have the airport terminal I can turn to.  TGIF!

      1. Ok, wait…. fellow blogger Edward Soul and I discussed Rush this week. So I feel as if I’m letting you both down here.

Rush to me was always the Thinking Man’s Rock Band.

And in my mind, I guess Rush and Yes sort of melded together a bit.

Sigh. Who am I trying to fool here?

My tastes in those days was plebeian.

I was probably listening to Wet Willy while all the cool people listened to Rush. 🙂

    1. That is an all time fave. I actually made it an exercise for my acting classes. It is so much fun and very interesting to hear what they thought. I typically find myself doing that in a mall or a grocery store.
