I am really not sure why I took this photo this morning. Maybe it is because Gracie is doing her best to not lay on the cushions. This is a new one. She very rarely sits in this chair, so that was quite unusual. I don’t even know what is supporting her neck. With her being a bit corpulent, I have no clue how she is managing to keep the chair from sliding away from the ottoman. It would be very detrimental to her health should she lose her balance. But to my surprise, she stayed like this for a good 30 minutes. I feel so much more secure knowing that she is on duty, ready for action (remember she is also the one who lost her site 3 months ago). The New Year, and a chance to start from a blank slate, is right around the corner. Do your best to end on a positive note. It his what you will remember the most!

She’s a 5 year old blind gentle giant, stubborn as a mule, with more allergies than anyone I know, who gets allergy “shots” every day, and will need them the rest of her life. But she makes me happy.

I’m a dog person without a dog. The elderly art teacher at my facility recently adopted a 5 year old pup and I have so bonded with that dog.
I’m her dog aunt, in all seriousness.

I don’t underestimate her. I have two “watch dogs” and a cat, aka, her majesty, who watch my every move…especially as dinner time approaches.
