Day 337 – December 3, 2018

Titles – VJ’s Weekly Challenge #26 / Frozen – Manic Mondays 3 Way Prompt /  Pending – FOWC / Uniform – RDP / Balmy – WODC / Starts with D – December Photo a Day / Day 3 – December Squares

Kind of a weird day, weather wise.  It peaked at a balmy 58 degrees, with all sorts of different skies, from cloudy to clear, you name it, we experienced it. The wind picked up quite a bit, and the temps subsequently dropped, close to freezing, quick.  On my way through town, I took an opportunity to snap this shot of the top of St. Johns spire from quite a distance away. Against the changing sky, with sunset pending, the spire seemed to blend right in with the background.  I almost didn’t see it, but some divine intervention intervened when I caught a gold flare out of the corner of my eye and followed the flash to this location. I wish I had my better lens so that I could really bring the tower in a bit more clear, but I will take this.  VJ has a challenge today called titles.  I am accepting that challenge and created this montage out of some of the creative titles 😛. I do not claim to be, nor ever been, a poet.

A Short Epic Poem (using titles chronologically from Jan 1 – March 30 2018)
by Me

New year, big changes, fresh perspectives.
Walking on thin ice.  Timber! Ice, ice baby.
Slippery slope, making tracks, just after noon.
Looking back, watch the birdie, all in a days work.
Cold town glazed over, break of day.
Sweet endings burning past creative minds. Fly, fly away.
Top of the mornin’ do drop in, no day but today.

This is my response for the Manic Monday 3 Way prompt “Frozen.”

I really wasn’t in to this group before I heard this song.  I happen to love music/songs that tells a story.  Concept albums are my absolute favorite.  More on that in future posts! Anyway, after I heard this song I found an appreciation for they work and they became one of my fave groups growing up. Thanks Laura for sparking the memory 🙂.
