Day 324 – November 20, 2018
This is Lucy. One of the 4 cats that my kids “rescued” and brought home “temporarily”. Lucy is so named because when she was just a kitten we thought she might be possessed so Lucy (short for a certain not so nice archangel) seemed to be an appropriate fit. When I got home today my routine involves letting the dogs out to stretch their legs and get some of the pent up energy out of their system. Anastasia would usually go and chase the squirrels, which seem to always congregate under a certain bird feeder. She’s not the quietest of squirrel chasers. She has a way of broadcasting her intent before stepping on the gas. Every now and then she would mistake Lucy’s tail for a squirrel and chase after her. Lucy does her best squirrel impression runs up the tree on to the top of the shed. Today she was not in line with the tree she normally uses to escape, so she went up a new tree. She didn’t seem to mind. There were a number of conveniently placed branches for her to perch on and keep an eye on the proceedings occurring beneath her. You can almost just hear her as she is struck by the moon singing Memory (from Cats 😁) Remember, a smile can be contagious! Have a great day before the day of Thanks!
