Day 294 – October 21, 2018

Photo Editor – #SundayStills / Humour – One Word Sunday / #MySundayPhoto / Whiff – FOWC / Object – RDP / Magnetic – WODC / Maroon – October Photo a Day

If you haven’t seen the info on the new challenge, take a gander HERE.                          Season 1 Pilot premiers Oct. 26!

I went with two photos again to answer todays challenges and prompts. The first was a photo I happened to do some editing on just to pull the colors of the sky a bit more.  I actually took it to document the before and after of the stop lights replacement. After taking it home and looking through them, the sky magnetically drew my eye and I made some adjustments to make it look the same way that I saw it.  I took this on my way back from town the crisp of fall air was just a whiff away.  The second photo is just humorous to me.  Imagining the story that goes with it, by looking at the many objects in the alley, allow for some creative interpretations.  Especially if you can’t tell if there is a window or not.  Kind of looks like Spiderman’s practice room (think of the electric lines as spider webs 😂).  Hope your weekend was well done and that your Monday starts the week off on the right foot.

  1. Love the sense of humour in here. The second photo is fascinating though. It reminds me of my childhood home. My bedroom faced directly at another building just a few feet away. There was no SpiderMan there at the time. It was a boogeyman.

    1. Well thank you! I can be deep and introspective at times but I much prefer creating levity and taking things much less serious. I think many need a little more of that in our lives. Thank you again for the kind words. If you’ll excuse me I’m going to go count my 1.6 million dollars I’m pretty sure I didn’t win. 😬

  2. Gander is a word often used over here in the UK. I like the photos, the busyness of the second one fascinates me, never mind Spider-Man, I half imagined a giant spider hiding in those bushes! 🙂

    1. Or that 🕷🕸😀. Gander is used a lot there? Maybe that’s where I picked it up. I’ve done many shows set in UK and a few of the British roles I’ve played, have used that word. Thank you though. It didn’t seem like a visually interesting composition until after I took the photo. Then I get it was a good one for your challenge, specifically because it just leaves you hanging (pun completely intended!😛). Ps is busyness an English spelling? I kind of hope so because I’ll use it like that😬

      1. Gander is used in my neck of the woods as a slang word, not sure how much it is used in other parts of the country. Take a gander at that, which means Look at that.
Busyness, yes it is an English word it means something was very busy, the street or the town, and in our case I liked the busyness of your picture. Try this link https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/busyness
I loved that picture Jason there was so much happening on those outside walls! 🙂

        1. I just enjoy saying that word. There are a few I like saying just for the sound of it. Weird I know. I like busyness, I just didn’t know if it was a typo for business? Thank you so much for the compliment and for the link! 😊😘
