Day 275 – October 2, 2018
Go Big! – Dutch Goes the Photo / Things People Grow – Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge / Hardware – FOWC / Contrast – RDP / Atone – WODC / Layers – October Photo a Day
Lately, I have been responding to challenges that may have stretched or was a weak response. So today I set out to atone for the recent posts that may have not been as clear as they were in my head (and that, in itself, is a clusterf*@k 😳) and I think I did it. It may not be the perfect response but it certainly is a fun one. I just started work on a new show, and rehearsal tonight was in the public library. The room we ended up using, which is called the community room, is where the library hosts storytelling and other activities, not only for children, but adults to. When I walked into the room, I was greeted by this gorgeous carving of a tree, and had to frame it up. I was mesmerized by the detail of each space and the time it had to have taken to finish. No credit is given to the sculptor anywhere in the room. And that is a shame. I have added more close-up shots of some of the detail work, and the wonderful quote taken from Shel Silverstein. I do hope you enjoy it! (And I hope you see the answers to the challenges in the photo. If not, I just hope you appreciate the tree art 😬) Hope your week is off to a good start! Stay safe, and Happy Birthday to my big brother!
What a beautiful capture of a lovely space. I’m a huge fan of libraries as it is and this is a gem of one for sure!

Thank you very much! It is. It is a gorgeous library after being recently renovated. I rarely visit, but every time I do, there is something else new that is being featured or added that I find. It is definitely a gem!

Wow!
Now this is really something I don’t see everyday. Marvelous work by that unknown artist 🙂

I know. I tried to track it down last night but not even the workers knew.

As always, stunning! I love these photos. Trees are amazing to me. So much history in one place. I look at older trees and wish they could talk.

Oh, so do I. Nothing I’d like more than to pull up a chair next to a tree and just listen to those stories! 💕
