There are a large number of landmarks that emerge from the greens as you make your way up the mountains. I have posted a few of them this year and many of them are recognizable and memorable. But none are more recognizable and memorable than the Saint Mary statue. A marker for the National Shrine Grotto of Lourdes, she stands overlooking the campus of Mt. Saint Mary’s and the highway the divides the campus. The grotto itself is very spartan like but it is a symbol of a rich religious tradition and meaning. On sunny days, the gold glistens and demands your attention. The radius of its visual reach, is perhaps one of thhe largest. It’s unmistakable and those who aren’t familiar with it, find themselves seeking its origin and meaning. To top it off, this is another response where I believe, the photo can answer all the challenges and prompts. There may need to be a little creative thinking, but they are there! This is my song selection for the Manic Monday 3 Way Prompt – “Damned” – The prompt caused me to remember a conversation I had with a fellow blogger. Which in turned opened up some other feelings that I related to with this song.

Ha ha – now I feel like a bully. No worries. I am impressed by how much you do – I gave up on trying to meet all the prompts. It’s exhausting.
