Day 269 – September 26, 2018

Regal – 24 Weekly Photo / Wordless Wednesday / Which Way Challenge – SOB Sep 20 / Day 26 – #SeptemberSquares / Enthralling – WODC / Surmount – FOWC / Inspire – RDP / Pickle – citysonnet DWP

This post is just a little anticlimactic after yesterdays, but I will not let that deter me.  This bounty I encountered today would be an amazing fit for a regal feast.  I have photographed this area a number of times, but never from this side of the orchards. From this perspective it is enthralling to see how the vast amount of different fruits and veggies have surmounted the hillside.  A drive through the orchards, via the aptly named Orchard Rd, would inspire anyone to eat local and to eat fresh.  The sheer number of the variety being grown here, is incredible.  This photo alone I can see at least 6 fruits and veggies.  Though most of the harvest is sent out to a number of markets and restaurants, a roadside market, right off the highway, is open for people to stop in and buy right from the farms.  In just a few weeks, this landscape is going to change dramatically as the fall colors take over the background which will be some images I am anxious to share.  Halfway through your week! Stay safe!

    1. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the purple was rhubarb, that or a cabbage? In any case, the purple really stood out as a contrast that I was hoping would bring the colors together. Thank you for the compliment. I really am still working on drawing focus using colors.
