Day 263 – September 20, 2018

Ready, Set, Action – A Photo A Week / Extractable – Thursday’s Special /  Which Way Photo Challenge / Kammie’s Oddball Challenge /   Day 20 – SquareinSeptember / Slippery – RDP / Infatuation – WODC / Guest – FOWC / Starts With a G – citysonnet DWP

I have been riding somewhat of a lucky streak the last few days.  The photos I have been taking have been working out pretty well with my responses for the multi-prompts used for the day.  So Nancy’s challenge may be just a bit of a reach, but I can hear the phrase being said when the fountain is turned on for the day. As I have said and meant, I am not big into numbers, but I do want to acknowledge that I reached 300 (non Facebook/Twitter) followers today!  Go Me!  It has only taken 5 years, alright actually 2.8 years and a 2/3rds of you found my humble little site in the last 8 months.  While I feel very blessed and honored that you have opted to tag along for the ride, but it is even made that much better because of the friendships and fellow bloggers respect, care and support.  There is a reason, a very good reason, why I no longer have a Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc. account.  This forum means a lot, and is so much more rewarding than any responses I use to receive (and give out) through the social media accounts that stressed me out on a daily, if not more often, basis.  So yes, THANK YOU to my amazing Blog friends.  I also just want to throw one more thing out there, since I am discussing milestones,  this is my 995th post. On Tuesday the 26th I will publish my 1000th post.  I will have some more to say about that then, but I am struggling with how to celebrate this milestone.  I would love any suggestions or options or whether to just let it pass and just post my 365 photo for the day.  Let me know what you think, if you think, or even if you care.  Phone lines are open! Have an incredible Friday! Stay Safe!

  2. Congratulations on reaching 300! I too abandoned my social media accounts. I’m more comfortable here and especially as there are less opinionated and judgemental individuals on WP. We do what we enjoy, we are what we are and are accepted for that.
I enjoy seeing your photographs and reading your little snippets 🙂

    1. That is so kind and generous of you to share! I swear my stress level has plummeted since I stopped and my blood pressure, very high to begin with, is lower. I really believe there is a correlation between physical and mental well-being and social media. (hmm maybe PhD research material 🧐😁 😂) I know I just look forward to venturing out every day to take pictures. And even if I am super critical of my shots (which I know could be so much better) so many really enjoy them, and say as much without any obligation… and that makes my heart warm. 💕
