River In The Rain

Day 260 – September 17, 2018

Shadows – VJ’s Weekly Challenge / Boondocks – Manic Monday’s 3 Way / Waterfalls – Photo for the Week / Day 17 – #SeptemberSquares / Gloss – WODC / Copius – RDP / Fragile – FOWC / Looking Down – citysonnet DP

Just like yesterday, I am tickled pink and feeling pretty good with today’s prompts and the photo doing all the work. But I can’t just leave it at that.  I said, yesterday, that I will no longer complain about rain and/or flooding that happens up here.  So I won’t.  After a day of rain from Flo, it didn’t take long for water to rise all around us.  This natural waterfall, is tucked in the boondocks of the Blue Ridge mountains.  The rail is a safety measure, as it would easily be quite a bit of a drop, should one slip on the rocks.  The raindrops are kind of a neat effect.  The intense falls enhanced by the shadows of water itself (and some greenery surrounding) .  The feel of the water as it emerges from the shadows, completes the shot (for me at least 😬). Hope your week started off on the right foot! Stay safe.
