It’s Always Raining In Philadelphia

Day 255 – September 12, 2018

Spending some time in Philly. This Riparian city sits on two rivers, the Schuylkill and the Delaware.  As if I needed to be closer to any more flooding.  Given the erratic nature of the storms, just look at the sky, sunny off in the distance and rain coming down like a fountain, about right where I am standing. You can literally see the huge drops falling. I think it (the rain) just follows me and feasts off whatever karma that I am receiving. Like that rain cloud, parked over Charlie Brown’s head. Anyway, the Kid needed a couple of things so I decided to go on up and spend a little time with him and the city.  I’m really drawn to Philly and I love the photo ops that I happen upon.  I was trying to get some shots of the buildings off in the distance and when I looked down and saw the pink umbrella, I knew what was going to be posted today.  But what strikes me about the photo is how the buildings in the background contrast with the foreground, creating an almost watercolor like backdrop effect.  I posted another photo at the bottom from a different angle, where the buildings are a little more prominent.  Same effect.  Happy Humpday! Hope the week has been a good one! (PS I know I haven’t been as active the last couple of days, as soon as things slow down a tad I will catch up on sooo many posts!😊)
