Day 243 – August 31, 2018

Summertime – Weekly Photo Challenge / Weekend Reflections #456Pithy – WODC / Bound – FOWC / Absent – RDP

This post will probably be a little more profound than usual for me.  I am just warning those of you who have grown to know “my style” 😬  While I’m not known for pithy posts,  I just prefer a good build up to the levity. Jenn’s photo challenge this week is summertime. I had a difficult time trying to come up with something I could use to represent what I was thinking. I would have loved to be beach bound and catch some ideas there, but that was absent on my calendar. I was busy running around today, and not too many opportunities jumped out at me.  I realized I was looking back and looking for something that reflects what defines summertime for me.  Driving past this local glass company, a sharp glare bounced of the windows, and suddenly it came to me.  It’s not the glass, of course, but the reflection, as if looking back on the past few months, the magnificent blue, sunlit sky, that is one of the most defining elements of summertime. If it could only cast a reflection of a beach, I would have totally nailed it.
