Day 240 – August 28, 2018

Lift – Tuesday Photo Challenge / Fair – Ragtag DP / Probability – FOWC / Insidious – WODC / Teal, Aqua, Turquoise, Seafoam – Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge

It’s hot.  Like hot hot.  It’s humid. Like very humid. Together they just plain suck.  Simply put, five minutes outside and you’ll look like you just came out of a hot shower.  So in looking for a subject for today’s challenges, I was reminded that not only do we have to deal with the heat, these animals have it worse.  Not that they aren’t built to survive, but where are some places they can go to beat the heat.  I have to think this horse hotel would be an option.  I am not saying it would have all the amenities of a 5 star hotel and the probability of a pool is pretty low, I wouldn’t trot away.  Ok so now that my attempt at humor has failed, this is an auction house for, well horses.  In fact, this is the site of witnessing my very first auction.  I was fascinated.  There is an insidious atmosphere, especially as the horses enter through the door on the far right.  I figure that its a prep area, to give them a quick rub down before entering the ring.  Based on the number of people in attendance it’s a fair assumption that the probability of winning a bid is pretty good.  For those lucky new owners, once the auction is over and they “pay the lady”  the garage door is lifted and the horses are loaded, heading to their new home.

    1. I know they are the defenseless ones. But they have survived in the wild before now, so I am not too worried. 😊. Too hot.. again today. Even with the air cranking out, the house just heats up so fast,😳💕
