Ok, lets’s just get it out of the way.  It rained, it poured, it sucks, yada yada yada.  Rather than hang around and being depressed, I knew I had to satiate this wanderlust and go play.  In this small town, there are really few and far things to do when the rain is falling like it does.  That can be a major challenge when it comes to fighting boredom.  Of course, with a camera, anything is possible.  As long as the 7D is kept dry and I use one of the water resistant cameras.  I happened to be driving next to the golf course when the sun popped out for a very short appearance.  And as I passed the 6th hole, I looked over and saw this jumble of debris, in the middle of the course.  We did have a lot of rain and the storms were strong enough to knock power out three times last night/early morning, so I chalked it up to damage by “acts of God”. Whatever caused it, the fallen trees, piled up brush and assorted debris presented a obstacle that would challenge any one trying to play the remaining 150 yards to the pin.  And then any attempt to tee from the 7th hole would be thwarted as the bridge, that crosses the swollen stream that cuts through the course, would be unreachable. Not that there was anyone out to day, the course is completely unplayable.  But it is still fun to imagine the expression on the players faces as they came upon the greens for this hole.  And I will take that vision, because there really isn’t much else to do for fun.
