On the Town

Day 196 – July 15, 2018

Dwarf – OWPC / Plant Life – Sunday Stills / #MySundayPhoto / Legend – FOWC / Kerfuffle – RDP

I wasn’t even sure I was going to get this one in on time, if at all.  A quick trip to see family and I am running on fumes.  But something is driving me.  Insanity, if you must know.  If you have never seen something like this, or heard the legend of the sailor who plants one (stretching the plant life prompt, but come on, it’s creative) on an unsuspecting nurse.  If you want to learn more visit this site.  It caused quite the kerfuffle when the photo hit the cover of time. I think the story is pretty cool, and whenever I see replications of the event either live, in photos or statue tributes, it’s pretty cool, especially when you don’t play on running into it.  This is a 25 foot replica of it, and it really dwarfs you.  I am very happy with this photo because you kind of have to take a second look to see if it is actually a statue or if it is a live recreation.  In fact, it just might well be. 🧐😏
