Day 192 – July 11, 2018

Abundant – WODC / Mean – FOWC / Vintage – RDP / Park – citysonnetDWP / Attentive – 24WPC

I had no intention of posting this photo.  Heck, I didn’t even mean to photograph it, or any of the ones that I posted below.  I went out to the park again to shoot my original idea for today’s challenge. Satisfied with what I did, I got back home but before I came in I started having some fun trying to get some close up shots of the birds who were feasting on the feeders I put up.  I really was just planning to get as many as I could so I would be able to identify them.   What I really wanted to do was capture a hummingbird, they seem to be really abundant this year.  I’ve always liked those vintage photos where the bird is just suspended in air as it feeds.  Surprisingly, I managed to get the opportunity, but I was too slow, or the photo was too blurry. But when I went through the rest of the pictures, I was really happy with how they came out. So much so that I abandoned my original idea in favor of these.  After all, they ended up working for the prompts. Look how attentive and aware they are. Actually they probably should be, there are 4 cats and 2 dogs lurking about!
