Day 161 – January 10, 2018

June Roof Squares – Month of Squares

Had tech rehearsal for a show I am in opening next weekend.  The rehearsal was on the cgrounds of the local college. Afterwards, I found myself taking pictures around campus.  When I saw this building it came to me that it would be a perfect choice for my first entry in the Month of Squares challenge.  I read about this challenge on Cee’s blog a couple of weeks ago and, at some point, wanted to start shooting squares.  So my first entry is a greenhouse at Hood College.  As I was leaving,I caught the glimmer off the roof which called me over 😜.  The first thing I noticed were the large amount of squares that form the outside wall of the building. You can see the ridge vent, on the peak of the roof, which looks as though it has the option to open or close.  I never realized this was even possible.  I really do like this photo.  I think it captured what the challenge asked for in my first attempt.  If not then I have made a huge mistake😳.  Thank you Becky for hosting this challenge.

  1. Square photo, a great roof and multiple squares. You have more than met the challenge on your first entry. Superb entry – thank you so much for joining us. And I hope the rehearsal went well.

    1. I was hoping you would say that. 😊 This is going to be lots of fun. Thank you for the very kind compliment. Means a lot. Oh and yes, with opening Thursday, I think all is well. I am just hoping it stays dry! (There’s no roof 🙃)
