Day 157 – June 6, 2018

Arch, Dome or Half Circle – Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge

First day away from the Daily Post and I feel like I am in treatment for substance abuse.  The withdrawal is really weird.  But, thanks to Cee, and a few other blog sites, the transition may not be so bad.  I like this challenge, and I was pretty fortunate to catch this scene on my way home today.  I am not sure exactly what the bird was doing, and I really didn’t see it land and it didn’t take off during the time it was in my view.  It just sat with its blades a-spinning.  This is the home of FEMA,and the National Firefighting Academy.  It isn’t unusual to see scenes like this on their ground, and with the number of birds that fly over my house, it isn’t a surprise.  I just liked it because of the different geometric shapes.  And I and fairly certain I touched on each of the challenges .  Beside the arch on the building, the photo is taken from my window, hence the arch at the very top of the screen.  The top of the the building could be considered a dome, as could the cockpit. The half circle may be a little difficult to see, but check out the tail propeller as it is caught mid-spin forming the half circle.  So it may be a stretch, but it was a beautiful day and I was happy with the photo.
