Day 94 – April 4, 2018

Well if this one doesn’t cover both the WPC and DWP, I don’t know what else would. We are 8 days away from opening night of our spring musical.  So I am not sure why I thought it was a good idea to start working on another show today.  Yet here I am, pushing the kids to their limits as they work to polish one show for opening and start the process for another that will open a mere 2 weeks after the first closes.  Despite the rapid clicking of the countdown clocks, this is when my creative(?) mind is at its peak, churning one idea after another.  Fixing visions with one production while creating new visions with the other production.  Don’t get me wrong, while it is very time and energy consuming, I enjoy it, quite a bit actually.  It’s why I do what I do. To top that off and just “churn” those creative waters even a bit more, I am in a show that runs the weekend in between both shows.  Talk about burning the candle. There is nothing I would rather be doing. It really does keep me fresh, happy and focused.  Though there are some, who may be envious or who just don’t know better, who are working to keep me from sharing my passion and preparing my kids for the next level, I forge ahead no matter how rough the seas.  Because seeing the kids exert themselves, as they work together to create and execute my vision at such a high level, couldn’t make me more proud, or smile larger.  Keep that heart warm!
