Guiding Lights – WPC

Day 39 – February 8, 2018

This weeks WPC topic was “tour guide”. The explanation was to try and capture what we love best about where we live. This is Liberty Mountain, home of Liberty Resort, Ski Liberty, and Carroll Valley golf course (a beautiful TPC course.) But while all that sounds great and all, it isn’t the resort and it’s amenities that I love most about it. I love it because it is home. In the winter months, when the lights are on, it can be seen from miles away. Much like a lighthouse leading you home. And in the summer, the mountain pokes out of the horizon and much like the lights in winter, the mountain itself can be seen from miles. When I see it, I see home. Our Small town is nestled among the hills, mountains and valleys of the Blue Ridge. And as I live up in those mountains, Liberty is home.
