Ice Line

Ice Line

Day 38 – February 7, 2018

First, let me apologize. As I posted this picture today I realized it is now the fourth day in a row where I was the subject of my blog.  But what can I tell you.  It has been one cold start to February, and when the ice is bad enough to actually cancel school and prevent you from really going anywhere, well the subject becomes somewhat limited.  I went to let Anastasia out this morning.  When I saw that she wasn’t really moving out like she normally does, her aerial line answered that question.  The Zip line that runs about 100 feet out, was caked with ice.  Thick enough that her pulley could not break through. I thought the picture looked pretty cool. Not just because of the ice that fills the line, but because as you follow the line, it just disappears off in the distant, like a pretty cool zip line.  Maybe it is just me.  I did manage to knock the ice off after I took the photos, so she had the full length to run and get some exercise.  I will look to avoid ice now for quite awhile, not that Mother Nature will agree.
