Hear My Song

Collective Works – January 9, 2018

Last Friday I teched (basically ran lights and sound) for our schools feeder school band and orchestra concert.  Tonight I teched our feeder school chorus/choir concert.  Once again, schools performed their individual numbers. After the small groups finished, all of the schools, K-12, came together to sing the closing song. It was a really awesome moment, not to mention witnessing the younger kids eyes widen as a high schooler mentored, let alone just talked to them.

I took pictures with 3 cameras, and I was amazed that for this picture (full stage/uneven lighting) that the iPhone produced a much better result.  That doesn’t hold true to a lot of compositions, but for this one the others really didn’t come close to the depth of color and the quality of the shot.  I still believe that focusing on my Canon 7D is the priority so the iPhone will not be used quite so much (I’ll save it for instagram.)
