Seeing Red

The Dark Night

I will set something straight right off the bat. I am not one of those people who go out at midnight, or later, to bargain shop on Black Friday.  In fact, this shot was taken not too long ago this evening. But I am sure this road was even more packed with more brake lights 24 hours earlier.  It really does make me wonder what lengths people would go to get those bargains and why on earth would any one think it’s a good idea to entice people out of their beds, their food comas, their festive drinking, to go shopping in huge crowds, with others who are just as tired, full, drunk, etc. Just sounds like a bad plan to me.  Would it kill them to wait until 6am to start?  I think I can remember when it started at 8am on Friday morning.  And now I hear that some stores are starting at 9pm on Thursday? What?  Really?  I guess as long as people are showing up they will get rid of Thanksgiving all together.  Oh well.  Happy Black Friday everyone. 🙂 November 23, 2012
