Fine Tuning

Could Use Some Light on the Subject

Back to the stage tonight as we now head into our last dress rehearsal before the show.  It’s the time when the little kinks need to be worked out and not only in the performance but for the set as well.  Dennis is our set designer/builder/ do it all guy who without, the show would definitely be nowhere near ready.  I’ve known him for a very long time and it amazes me how much he gets done.  But he’s not the only one, and while it is a little disturbing how few people actually do contribute behind the scenes, those that do are so invaluable that without them the production just would not be the same. The one thing I love about the theater is the sense of community that it brings.  And while I do really enjoy performing, when I am working on the production end of the show, I really feel that spirit so much more.  September 26, 2012
