In a Blink

Time Out

Sometimes life happens so fast that we need to remember to slow down and appreciate those we love.  And sometimes life sends a cruel reminder to bring everything in perspective.  I took a picture of this salon back when it first opened not too long ago.  It was a dream come true for the owner who, in a sick twist of fate, lost her life last weekend to a drunk driver.  Now there is a memorial of flowers that adorn the front door and the sign remains dark.  I don’t think life needs to be so harsh with it’s reminders, so maybe if we slow down and remember to appreciate the gift of life, it’ll ease up on the pain a bit.  September 21, 2012
