Weekly Photo Challenge: Near and Far

A Little Old Country

This may be a bit of a stretch for this weeks topic, but hear me out.  I was in downtown Frederick today for a meeting and whenever I can take some shots down here I do.  I love the city of Frederick.  It has got a little bit of everything.  This maybe why my good friend Bill focuses his blog on this particular street.  If you haven’t you should really check out his blog.  He is almost finished with his second year of posting a pic everyday on this street.  But I digress.  Sometimes when I am downtown, I really feel like I am in an old country village/town.  In particular, this photo captured what I feel is a bit of old country.  Of course, I am not sure if we need to label a building as a castle, but for those who wouldn’t know, I guess it doesn’t hurt to have it spelled out for you. I love cities that have that feel of far away places.  It really can allow you to travel without the expense.  September 11, 2012
