A Cross in the Road

I have driven by this scene so many times that I cannot believe that I haven’t shot it before.  But something told me to shoot it today and even while I did I wasn’t too sure that I would like any of the results.  But then I saw this when I was going throughout them and I am very happy I did.  I love how the sky opened up just a little bit to send that glow of light right above the cross.  It has been cool, damp and gray all day long, but for this one shot I got a burst of light.  Coincidence?  Perhaps, but I’ll take it.  July 21, 2012
