Passed Over

Rolling Thunder

It was another 100 degree day that was rudely (but welcomed) interrupted by a very strong line of thunderstorms. I was headed North when the front began its assault on our area.  It was simply spectacular.  I caught this shot purely by accident as I was trying to catch one of the many dazzling lightning strikes.  I really like this one though, with the highway overpass serving as a great line that adds interest to the shot.  Our temps have dropped by about 20 degrees so I am pretty sure no one is complaining.  July 18, 2012
