Midas Touch

A Steady Hand

Today was the last day in the City.  Day 6, and on the way out of town, I walked past Central Park and sitting right at the entrance was this performance artist. Now I am not quite sure what the deal was, I mean I have seen the person who sprays themselves silver and acts like a robot, The Naked Cowboy, The Tinman, and any number of other caricatures, but this was the first time I saw Golden Girl (if that is what she calls herself). I didn’t have much time at all, so I snapped off a couple of shots and I really like this one as the boy looks like he is ready for her to jump up and scare the heck out of him the minute he touches her.  You can see the tentativeness in his hand. But now I am back home and while I love the City and all, it is good to be home. July 13, 2012
