This weeks challenge should have been a lot easier than it was. Especially, given the fact that my job is one that requires me to be creative pretty much all the time. And I do feel that it is a strength of mine to be able to create something out of nothing. It is what excites me and inspires me. Nothing like a blank page or canvas to challenge the creative spirit. But I didn’t want to take the typical approach, so as I was driving home today, I passed our cemetery and it got me to thinking that death is actually the final initials on our canvas. That everything we do before then is our own creation and when all is said and done our life will either be a collector’s item, a masterpiece, a wall hanging, or an attic dweller. It really is our canvas to do what we want, and to leave what ever impression we desire. The challenge is to not let others dictate what your canvas should be and to express yourself so all who become a part of your canvas will be inspired. So create, inspire, motivate and leave a mark. I would like to think that is why we are here to begin with. June 26, 2012
