Mt. Saint Mary’s recently leased a ton of land to the University of Maryland in order to build a huge network of solar panels in order to generate the electricity needed to run the University. 100’s of acres of land gave way to solar panels much like this, although these will also be used as carports. It is a clever use of the panels if you ask me, but I think it’s a little nuts that the school did not include the ability to power the entire campus as well as whatever they are making off the lease. Even after all that, tuition is till rising next year. Crazy if you ask me. I decided a while ago that if we had a sunny day and I had a little bit of time I would stop by and take some shots. I liked this one. I think it is because of the lines and the colors. But mostly, I like my title 🙂 May 11, 2012
