Toe Pick

Scraping by

I went and saw my first softball game of the season tonight, and of course, it just so happened to be on a night that the temperatures dropped low, quick. You can tell by how the spectators are bundled up.  I took a ton of pics and decided on this one because of the reaction of the batter (my daughter) and how you can see where the ball is headed.  It was good to get outside this week especially since the great indoors beckons, and promises to keep me contained the rest of the week.  April 24, 2012

  1. That’s a great shot! I wish we had someone with some photo skills to take pictures of our girls. I’m missing two things: a good camera and ability. I hope your daughter won her game. Tell her good luck on the next one.

  2. Nice shot! It’s been pretty cool around here the last few days as well. Good weather for a brisk walk in the middle of the afternoon, but not the most comfortable for sitting on bleachers and watching a ballgame…

I really enjoyed the post, but I was most curious about the title. It made me laugh out loud because my sister and I say this to each other all the time as a quote from the movie “The Cutting Edge”. So, even if that’s not what you were going for – thanks so much for the giggle and the smile. 🙂

    1. Of course it comes from the “Cutting Edge”! 🙂 I have quoted that phrase more times, especially if I am walking with someone and they trip over air or something. The next shot I took had her up on her toes and losing balance which is why the title came into play, but that shot wasn’t as clear as this one so I kept the title. Thanks for the comment!

      1. lol! That’s so great! I figured that was the inpiration since you shot showed her going up on her toes, but I wasn’t sure. It always makes me smile when someone uses a movie quote that has become part of a ‘secret code’ communication I have with my friends or family. 🙂
