Jumpin the Gun

Speed Bumps

My son had a track meet today.  Their first day of Spring Break and they had a track meet.  Oh well.  At least I got to see it and to take some shots.  I had a number to sort through but there was something about this shot that stood out.  It’s ironic that this one, as well as all of the shots I took this week, could fall under the “arranged” category.  I really like the color combinations and probably all the lines that run through this shot.  April 5, 2012

  1. My husband and I became the official photographers for our high school team….we had to do SOMETHING to keep from falling asleep between my son’s 2400 and 4×400 races (4 hours apart). We are now allowed on the field and on the track, post the pics to a team website and the kids and their parents (most never attend) love them! Yeah for digital.

      1. We had to upgrade our cameras. I love my pocket point and shoot for travel but the shutter speed was too slow to catch a stop action jump over a hurdle for example. Once we got the new cameras we started getting “Sports Illustrated” quality shots!
