Scenes from a Resort Tavern

Boreding

Despite the large amount of rain and the near 60 degree temperatures, Liberty managed to stay open and as a result, I took the boys skiing tonight.  As you might expect, with the combined aforementioned conditions, there wasn’t much activity on the slopes.  But after I dropped the boys off I rattled off a few shots for fun.  I really liked this one.  The silhouette of the boarder and the figure in the window of the tavern are two very interesting, yet contrasting subjects.  The warm incandescent lighting is a plus, but I only wish the christmas lights were a little more in focus.  They weren’t in any of my shots of this composition. A little frustrating yes, but not terribly distracting. January 17, 2012
