A Chorus of Fireflies

My daughters middle school held their spring music concert this evening. These are pretty big events in our town. And tonight we were treated to a number of band, jazz and chorus numbers.  This one was a difficult one to take and I am still a  little unhappy with what I ended up with.  But this is the better of the shots and I like many things about it.  The song was called “Fireflies” and the chorus instructor had the kids hold little pulsing pen lights that made it look like Fireflies during the number.  The specks of light on the ceiling are actually reflections off the black clouds.  May 10, 2011
